The Bullish Separating Lines, or Bullish Kicker Signal, candlestick formation is an upward continuation pattern composed of 2 candlesticks. The first is a long red candlestick during an upward move. This candlestick gaps higher on the open, but then moves down and closes below the gap. The second candlestick is a green candlestick, which opens at the same open at the first candlestick, and then moves higher, thereby erasing the negative sentiment that may have been created by the first candlestick.
